In this new tip tutorial for 3ds max 2010 we ll take a look at the Manipulators This feature is really useful to add custom UI objects all over the viewports and linking it directly to objects or scene parameters to be able to interact with it in real time in viewport In our example we ll create two slider manipulators and we ll link it to a mesh scale value and a procedural map parameters to change dynamically the material diffuse and the size of a sphere directly in viewport with no need to open material editor or scale it manually To link the manipulator to the various parameters we ll use the Wire Parameter feature
