Solutions on Windows 7 Forgot Password Problem

“Oh, password, password, password…good but easy to be forgotten…” Nowadays, in such a fast-paced information age, private information stolen or personal data leak is common and nothing special. So, an easy or simple password for your privacy, say your Windows 7 machine in which you store lots of important personal data, will never be safe. But for setting a quite complicated password, people are easy to forget it. Recently I’ve heard of many complaints like “I forgot Windows 7 password for my PC, what would I do to get it back?” Forgetting password is common, so is forgetting computer user login password. If a computer password is forgotten or lost, then it means no access to the computer. Fear not, in this article, several solutions for how to reset forgotten Windows 7 password will be discussed. Guide to change Windows 7 password. In all Windows operating systems, there is a built-in Administrator account with highest privilege over the PC. It is non-password protected by default. Therefore, if you haven’t used this account and never changed its default settings, then you can use this Admin account to change your forgot password on Windows 7. Below are the specific steps: Step1: Start your locked computer and press Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys twice when you see Windows Welcome/Login screen. Step2: When the Classic Login box, type Administrator in username box and leave its password box blank. Then hit “Enter” key. Step3: Now you can smoothly log on to your locked computer again and then reset lost Win 7 user password from “Start->Control Panel->User Accounts” easily. Alternative solution: unlock Windows 7 password with a third party application. Whenever a bit cautious about computer risk, he or she won’t just let the built-in Administrator unprotected. So, if you cannot change your forgotten Windows 7 password with the above solution, you still have an alternative solution—Reset Windows 7 password with Windows Password Key Standard. Windows Password Key Standard is a very powerful third party utility designed for resetting or removing password for Windows 7, Vista or XP etc. It is very easy to operate with 3 steps only, which has earned great reputation over its users.
